Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at DJava Factory: summary

The role in one line: You’d be a client-facing full-stack and cloud engineer who takes a business problem through every stage: Understand → Design → Build → Deploy → Support.

What you’ll do

• Work directly with clients to gather requirements and turn them into scalable technical solutions

• Build full-stack apps end to end: frontend, backend, APIs, microservices, databases and integrations

• Deploy and run systems in the cloud, including CI/CD, monitoring, logging and infrastructure

• Fix production issues and keep solutions secure, reliable and production-ready

• Run workshops and demos, and write documentation (architecture, deployment and support guides)

• Act as the link between clients and DJava’s product, engineering and DevOps teams

• Try out and roll out AI, automation and cloud innovations

Core tech stack

• Frontend: JS/TS, React, Next.js or Vue, HTML/CSS

• Backend: Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, Python or Go; REST, microservices, auth

• Data: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, NoSQL; data modelling

• Cloud/DevOps: AWS, Azure or GCP, plus Docker, Kubernetes, Git and CI/CD

• AI (strong plus): LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini), agents, RAG, vector databases

Must-haves

• Degree in CS, IT or a related field, plus 2+ years in software engineering

• Strong full-stack skills and hands-on experience deploying to the cloud

• Comfortable working with clients, with strong English communication

• Works independently and owns deliverables

• Willing to travel or work onsite at client locations

Nice-to-haves: Consulting or solutions engineering background, enterprise systems integration, solution architecture, Agile/Scrum, and AI/ML experience.

Success is measured by: projects delivered on time, solution quality and scalability, client satisfaction and adoption, how well issues get resolved, and contributions to reusable frameworks and best practices.
